Entry-Level Marine Technician — Stander Marine, Leland, MI $20-$22/hour + paid training Year-round Full-time or part-time About Stander Marine Stander Marine sits on the water in Leland, in the heart of Leelanau County. We're a locally-owned operation investing in our people, our shop, and our systems — a place where good work gets noticed and rewarded. The Role New to the trade but good with your hands? We're hiring an entry-level technician and we'll train the right person into a skilled marine tech. This is a real career path, not a summer stopgap. You'll work alongside our senior technicians, learn the craft from the ground up, and grow into diagnostics and repair as you prove yourself. What You'll Do Assist senior technicians on service and repair jobs across pontoons and outboard-powered boats Handle basic service — oil changes, fluid checks, detailing, winterization prep, and rigging help Move and stage boats safely around the yard and docks Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked so jobs run smoothly Learn diagnostics and repair alongside our senior techs, building toward certification What We're Looking For Mechanically inclined — you like figuring out how things work and fixing them Eager to learn — willing to take direction and grow into the trade Reliable — on time, dependable, and takes pride in the work Physically capable — able to lift 50+ lbs and be comfortable on and around the water Valid driver's license Nice to Have (Not Required) Any automotive, small-engine, powersports, or mechanical experience Boating experience
