Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Infant Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this paid role, you will support the care and development of infants by implementing age-appropriate activities, ensuring a safe environment, and fostering positive interactions. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a warm, engaging space where young children feel loved, secure, and inspired to explore. Responsibilities Assist in supervising infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times through attentive child supervision. Support the implementation of child development instruction aligned with early childhood education standards. Engage infants in age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, and social-emotional growth. Maintain a clean, safe, and thoughtfully prepared classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily experiences, milestones, and needs to foster strong partnerships. Follow mandated reporting laws and health & safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures. Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to manage classroom routines and behavior management strategies. Experience Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in a daycare or early childhood setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques is essential. Experience with classroom management, behavior management, and working with children with disabilities is advantageous. Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid, is required or willing to be obtained upon hire. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members in a professional manner. Previous nannying or babysitting experience involving infant care is considered a plus.
