Infant Teacher Montessori Children's Center Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00
PM Position:
Full-Time Position Summary Montessori Children's Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our team. The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment where infants can build trust, explore, and grow. The ideal candidate will be attentive to each child's individual needs and development while partnering with families and coworkers to provide consistent, high-quality care. Essential Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing, and responsive care to infants throughout the day.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Follow all Michigan childcare licensing requirements, center policies, and health and safety procedures.
- Maintain appropriate classroom ratios and complete required name-to-face attendance checks and supervision procedures.
- Follow each infant's individual feeding, sleeping, diapering, and care routines.
- Support infants' physical, social-emotional, cognitive, language, and motor development through age-appropriate experiences.
- Observe and document children's development, behaviors, interests, and milestones.
- Use observations to individualize care and learning experiences based on each child's needs.
- Maintain accurate classroom records, including daily reports, attendance, diapering, feeding, and sleep documentation.
- Communicate professionally and consistently with families regarding their child's day, development, and individual needs.
- Build trusting relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary classroom, including proper sanitizing of toys, surfaces, and changing areas.
- Follow safe sleep practices and all required infant care procedures.
- Participate in classroom routines, transitions, and daily cleaning responsibilities.
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers, administration, and support staff to maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Attend required staff meetings, professional development, and trainings.
- Support the values and philosophy of Montessori Children's Center. Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalence required.
- Previous experience working with infants or young children preferred.
- CDA, associate degree, degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements for the position.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to complete required annual health and safety training.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, patient, nurturing, and responsive.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy childcare environment.
- Commitment to providing children with a safe, loving, and respectful environment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and safely carry infants and young children.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and move frequently throughout the classroom.
- Ability to respond quickly to the needs of children.
- Ability to safely perform diapering, feeding, cleaning, and other routine infant-care responsibilities.

$13.75 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
