This contract position involves working 32.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday) during the school day for a period beginning approximately August 31, 2026, through November 29, 2026. After 422 contracted hours, there is an opportunity to be considered for a direct hire role.

Key Qualifications:

Must be highly qualified by one of the following: Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam), or Completion of at least 60 college credits (a transcript must be provided; diplomas or degree images are not accepted) Resume and one qualifying document (passing test score or transcript) must be submitted for consideration Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care responsibilities as needed for students Previous experience in a school or centerbased (Setting 2-3) environment is strongly preferred Professional, compassionate communication and teamwork skills Commitment to supporting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere

Responsibilities Include:

Providing instructional and behavioral support to middle school students in a special needs setting Assisting classroom teachers in managing activities, adapting materials, and promoting student engagement Supporting students with personal care tasks, including toileting, as required Contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) implementation and documentation Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
