Summer Assistant -Orono Community Education Job Summary:
Join our team to assist teachers in enrichment classes and/or work at one of our sites as a recreation assistant. Support teachers in the classroom and assist in implementing daily lessons. Set up supplies and project set up/ take down on a daily basis. Guide students through projects and learning activities. Work as a team to lead outdoor activities and games on our playground and at local parks. Supervise students on field trips to local attractions. Provide a warm and welcoming environment for all students and their families. Maintain a clean and safe learning environment for students. Support Community Education leaders and programs on a daily basis.Qualifications:
Fun, nurturing, energetic and caring. Organized and flexible. First-aid and/or CPR certification encouraged. Experience volunteering or working with school age children ages 5-12 appreciated. Ability to communicate effectively with other staff members. Begin work shift on time and work scheduled hours.Salary Range:
$12.84 - $16.00/hr. This role will accrue Earned Sick and Safe Time alongside state guidelines of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.Application Procedure:
