  • We are seeking a loving dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher to inspire and nurture our infant age children.
Shepherd's Care is a Christian Childcare Center located in Maple Grove, this teaching position requires you to implement the curriculum as well as provide a warm and nurturing environment for children to meet their physical, mental, spiritual, social and emotional needs. Responsible for performing duties in accordance with policies and procedures. Must be pleasant, respectful, and courteous to all children, families, visitors and fellow employees at all times.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • College credits or experience hours as required by
Childcare Licensing Experience:
  • Early Childhood Infant to Pre-K experience (preferred)
License/Certification:
  • CPR Certification or willingness to obtain
  • First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
Requirements:
Loves working and playing with children Develop positive relationships with children and families Ability to anticipate and diffuse problems and disruptive situations Implements daily lesson plans and classroom activities Helps with necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds Works effectively in a team Ability to adapt to frequent changes in activity, priorities, and/or work schedules Supervises a classroom of children and gives direction to the aide as needed Ability to exercise patience at all times Ability to communicate sensitive information Must be physically able to use a tablet with basic proficiency Must be able to get up and down off the floor, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in activity with children Be able to communicate with children and their parents in English
