Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school setting supporting middle school students in a paraprofessional capacity for a contract assignment. This opportunity begins at the end of August 2026 and continues through late November, with the potential to transition into a direct hire after approximately 90 days. The role involves working 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, serving as a vital member of a center-based educational team.
Desired Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following: • Successfully pass the Minnesota Paraprofessional Exam (MN Para Educator Exam) • Hold at least 60 college credits and be able to provide official college transcripts Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting (middle school preferred) Willingness and ability to assist with toileting and personal care, as this is a standard expectation for all support staff Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate, dependable, and able to provide positive support to students in Setting 2-3 caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver consistent, dedicated support to middle school students within a center-based classroom environment Implement teachers' lesson plans and provide small-group or one-on-one academic and behavioral support Assist students with daily living skills, including toileting and personal care, while maintaining dignity and respect Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to foster a positive classroom experience Maintain documentation and follow individual student plans
