Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students in a setting 4 program serving grades K-12. As a paraprofessional, you'll play a key part in delivering individualized support and positively impacting students' lives Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, for a contract position beginning September 8, 2026, and ending December 7, 2026. This opportunity requires 13 professionals who are passionate about education and committed to student development. After 422 contract hours, candidates will have the prospect to transition to a direct hire position.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must be Highly Qualified through one of the following methods: Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam) Completion of at least 60 college credits (attach official transcripts; diplomas or degrees do not meet this requirement) Resume and highly qualified documentation must accompany your application to be considered Previous experience supporting K-12 students is beneficial, especially in specialized or behavioral support settings Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instructional and behavioral support under the direction of licensed educators within a specialized program Assist individual students or small groups, ensuring engaging and inclusive learning environments Contribute to the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students with diverse needs Foster positive relationships and assist in classroom management
