We have an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced paraprofessional to assist medically fragile students in a specialized K-21 educational environment. In this unique setting, you'll help enrich the lives of students with severe disabilities, working closely with a dedicated team of educators and clinicians. As an instructional assistant in this dynamic all-special education facility, your background supporting students with significant physical and behavioral needs will be invaluable. You'll contribute to daily routines, uphold safety standards, and encourage growth for extraordinary learners. We are looking for candidates who possess: Direct experience working with individuals who have severe disabilities and medically fragile conditions Strong familiarity with implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) A background in assisting students who have complex medical and physical support needs Previous exposure to working in special education classrooms or similar settings Hoyer lift experience is a plus, though not requiredtraining is available for the right, motivated individual Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor Flexibility and adaptability in fluid, high-needs environments Daily responsibilities will include: Supporting students throughout their school day, ensuring safety and well-being Assisting with medical and personal care needs, as directed by nursing and teaching staff Implementing individualized learning activities under the supervision of certified special education teachers Reinforcing behavioral and academic goals outlined in each students plan Collaborating with a team of passionate professionals and families to promote student success Maintaining appropriate documentation and respecting all privacy protocols If you thrive in supportive roles and seek a meaningful contract position, youll find fulfillment in this opportunity.
