This role is based near Kansas City, MO, and is ideal for candidates passionate about making a positive impact on students daily learning experiences. Work within a collaborative school environment, supporting classroom activities and helping individual students across grades 1, 3, and 4. Your expertise will be utilized in both Functional Skills and Resource settings, as the school seeks two dedicated Instructional Assistants for these essential areas.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

Current Missouri substitute certificate or paraprofessional certification required Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-age children, especially those who need extra support Ability to adapt strategies to individual student needs Effective communication and teamwork skills Previous experience in Functional Skills or Resource classrooms is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Provide academic and behavioral support to students in grades 1, 3, and 4 Assist the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities Help students with a variety of tasks, fostering independence and confidence Support inclusion of students with diverse learning needs in classroom activities Monitor student progress, offering feedback to professionals as needed Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment This contract position offers the chance to grow your professional skills while working alongside dedicated educators.
