Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Take the next step in your career supporting student success as an experienced paraprofessional for a contract position near Hamptonville, NC. You'll play a key role assisting students and staff during a maternity leave assignment, working closely to support a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic school environment. This rewarding role offers you the opportunity to make a lasting impact during a key time in students' educational journeys.
Key Qualifications:
Background in a paraprofessional, teacher's aide, or classroom support capacity within school settings Associates degree or at least 60 credit hours completed (required) Comfortable using technology to assist virtual services and communicate effectively with team members Demonstrated ability to relate to students of varying abilities and backgrounds Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Role Responsibilities:
Provide daily support to the virtual SLP and help implement therapy activities with students Assist with classroom management, organizing materials, and facilitating student participation Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and school staff as part of the education team Help monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment for all learners The position is full-time, beginning as soon as possible and extending through November 11th, 2026, offering stability and a structured schedule within an engaging educational setting.
