Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead/Associate Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties Lead or assist with daily infant room activities, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate and responsive to each infant's individual needs and schedule (feeding, sleeping, diapering routines) For Lead role: supervise and support teaching staff/assistants in the infant room, providing mentorship and guidance to uphold high-quality infant care standards Develop and implement (or help carry out) individualized care plans that promote early sensory, motor, cognitive, and emotional development Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitized environment by adhering to health and safety regulations specific to infant care, including safe sleep practices (Back to Sleep/SIDS prevention), sanitation protocols, and pediatric CPR/first aid Track and document each infant's daily routine (feeding times/amounts, diaper changes, nap schedules) and communicate this clearly to parents Communicate regularly with parents about their infant's development, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong trust-based partnerships during this sensitive stage Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, state infant-specific ratio requirements, and other licensing requirements related to infant safety and welfare For Lead role: oversee daily operations of the infant room, including staff scheduling to maintain required ratios, record keeping, and inventory management of supplies (formula, diapers, etc.) Requirements Proven experience working specifically with infants (typically 6 weeks-12 months) in a licensed daycare or childcare setting; prior lead experience a plus for Lead-level candidates Strong knowledge of infant development milestones, attachment-based caregiving, and safe sleep practices Certification in infant/pediatric CPR and First Aid required Knowledge of safe sleep guidelines (Back to Sleep) and SIDS risk reduction protocols Excellent communication skills for parent engagement, especially around sensitive topics like feeding schedules, sleep, and early development concerns Ability to lead by example (or work collaboratively as part of the team) with patience, warmth, and professionalism in a fast-paced, sensory-rich environment Knowledge of mandated reporting laws, child safety protocols, and state-mandated infant staff-to-child ratios is essential Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to nurturing our tiniest learners!
