Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships. Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining child welfare standards, and practicing first aid and CPR when necessary. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and early intervention initiatives for children with special needs or developmental delays. Skills Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities that promote literacy, math skills, and physical activity. Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques tailored for young children. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively. Classroom management skills to maintain an organized learning environment conducive to student success. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in Montessori teaching or early childhood education are a plus.
