Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Winnisquam Regional School District is hiring Special Education Paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year for all grade levels. Paraprofessionals perform duties that are instructional in nature or deliver direct services to students in conjunction with the Special Education and/or classroom Teacher to implement educational programs and services appropriate to student's needs. Special Education Paraprofessionals are compassionate individuals who provide assistance to students with disabilities, as determined by the IEP team. Paraeducator II licensure through the New Hampshire Department of Education is required, or must be obtained once hired, to comply with federal Title I credential requirements. The District will reimburse the current cost for obtaining initial certification after hire. Application accepted until positions are filled 26/27 Rate of pay: with zero experience the starting pay rate is $18.03/hour or $19.06 if Para II Certified.Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance to students with a variety of disabilities.
- Supervise students in school settings.
- Collaborate with special education, regular education teachers, and Administration to coordinate instruction and support for students.
- Assist children individually or in small groups to increase their skills in academic, social, emotional, and behavioral competencies.
- Documentation and data collection duties affiliated with Medicaid claims, student Positive Behavior Intervention Plans, etc.
- Participate in professional development activities, workshops, courses, and district-provided training to develop professional competence for the benefit of students and maintain NHDOE licensure.
- Enforce and follow school district policies and rules.
- Collaborate to perform assigned duties with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts on behalf of disabled students.
