Program Assistant Reports to:
Program Director Summary:
The Program Assistant assists the Program Director with planning and administering the total program.
Principal Duties or Tasks:
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and organize work efficiently Assists Director in planning, development, coordination, and implementation of varying levels of programs/activities for participant. Assists with creating monthly calendars Obtains supplies Designs appropriate activities to stimulate mental and physical functions Conducts daily scheduled programs Adapts activities to meet participants' needs, as necessary Helps with meals, serves, and performs clean-up duties Assists with personal hygiene as needed Assists in the evaluation of potential participants for FADC Market program via contacts, meetings, health fairs, social media Maintain confidentiality of information regarding participants Maintains participants' attendance records Collect payments and prepares participant billing Assists in the maintenance of participant files and update as necessary Utilizes volunteers in programs in a professional and respectful manner Recognizes and reports any hazards Other duties may arise from time to time and may be assigned to the employee.
Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to interact comfortably with individuals at all levels Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines High School Graduate, College degree desirable or experience in geriatric field Ability to deal with critical, urgent emergency situations Experience working with senior citizens CPR Certified Proficient in Microsoft Office, and other computer software References required
