JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Teacher/Assistant Teacher in our 2's Program

•Part-time Lead Teachers at LAC Preschool are responsible for: Planning and executing of a developmentally appropriate program for pre-school children, documentation of learning experiences, assessment of children. Meeting the needs of the group as well as those of the individual child. Observing, identifying and responding to the needs of the children. Helping each child develop a positive-self-image. Communicating appropriately with children, using intentional language. Communicating with parents/families and creating positive relationships. Using a positive approach to behavior guidance. Assistant Teachers are responsible for assisting the teacher with: Preparation of the classroom environment. Classroom management and supervision of the children Fostering positive interactions and learning experiences for the children. Documentation and making observations
