Job Summary:

We are seeking a Part-Time Assistant Teacher to work directly under the guidance of our Lead Teachers. In this role, you will help foster a happy, safe, and constructive learning environment that meets the needs and interests of the children in our care.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist the lead teacher with hands-on activities, arts and crafts, and lesson plans. Greet and welcome children and parents enthusiastically each day. Maintain a happy, clean, safe, and relaxed classroom atmosphere. Set up play areas, materials, and decorations for constructive play. Oversee and facilitate the general safety and organization of the classroom environment and its activities, including outside playground play.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (Required) At least 1 year of experience working directly with children (Required) Age 18 or older (Required) Must be able to pass a standard

NYS OCFS

background check, including fingerprinting (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior work experience in a formal, licensed childcare or preschool setting College credits or a degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) Current First Aid and CPR certifications
