Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and student-focused academic tutors to support K-8 students in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math. The ideal candidate is patient, adaptable, and passionate about working with children, with the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment that supports both academic growth and confidence-building. This role is a great fit for: Aspiring or current educators College students in Education, Psychology, or related fields Experienced tutors Individuals passionate about youth development and academic success You'll be joining a collaborative and supportive team while playing a key role in helping students develop strong academic habits and self-confidence. Key Responsibilities Provide academic support in ELA and Math for K-8 students in both small group and one-on-one settings Assist students with homework, class assignments, and targeted skill-building activities Foster a structured, welcoming, and engaging learning environment Monitor student progress and communicate observations with center staff Support diverse learners, including students who benefit from differentiated instruction or additional encouragement Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent routines, uphold center standards, and ensure a safe, organized space Qualifications Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or childcare) Currently enrolled in or graduated from a college program (Education, Psychology, Childhood Education, or related fields strongly preferred) Strong communication skills, patience, and classroom management abilities Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet varied learning styles Professional, positive attitude with a strong commitment to student success Preferred (but not required): Experience supporting students with IEPs, special needs, or diverse learning needs
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
