Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre K Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for preschool-aged children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional growth, and support each child's individual needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation. Help supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meal times, nap times, and transitions throughout the day. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Assist in maintaining classroom cleanliness, organization of educational materials, and documentation of student progress. Experience Prior experience working with preschool or toddler-aged children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childhood education. Experience with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable. Familiarity with curriculum development for preschool learners, including Montessori or other child-centered approaches. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage families in their child's learning journey. Classroom experience involving lesson planning for literacy education and foundational math skills is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to manage classroom routines efficiently while fostering a joyful learning environment. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
