Responsibilities:

PRESCHOOL

Aid in instruction of preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth

INFANT/TODDLER

Aid in facilitation of learning activities & engage with play for development

SCHOOL AGE

Aid in initiation and encouragement various activities for development & entertainment Aid in maintaining a fun and safe learning environment Follow policies, schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, care, rest, and playtime Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications:

Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields (preferred, not required) Passionate about working with children Ability to build rapport with children Willingness to be flexible in approach Positive and patient demeanor 18+ with high school diploma OR currently enrolled in GED classes/ECE program Willingness to learn We will cover the cost of a GED exam if classes are attended Background check required

Education:

Opportunities for continued education in the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE) are available through the Ohio Child Care Resource & Referral Association (OCCRRA), with potential for career growth Entry level (no experience & high school diploma/high school equivalency) Wage varies beyond entry level based on experience and relevant education Assistant/Floater/Substitute positions available for those with <1 year experience
