Responsibilities Support classroom teachers with daily lesson planning, classroom setup, and instructional activities aligned with early childhood curriculum standards. Assist in implementing literacy, math, and preschool teaching strategies that promote early childhood development and school readiness. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children. Help supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement. Collaborate with teachers on individualized support plans for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or behavioral challenges. Maintain clear communication with staff and families regarding children's progress, needs, and classroom events. Support classroom organization by preparing materials, managing supplies, and ensuring cleanliness of the learning environment. Experience Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred. Familiarity with special education practices, behavior management techniques, and curriculum development for early learners is advantageous. Experience supporting children with disabilities or developmental delays such as autism or other special needs is a plus. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families in educational or childcare environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles, Montessori or other preschool philosophies is beneficial. Strong communication skills to engage positively with children and team members alike.
