Job Description

Bring your specialized skills and compassion to support students with severe autism as a contract paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment serving the Levittown, PA area. This vital role requires dedication and experience to make a meaningful impact on young lives, working alongside educators to foster engagement and safety for students with intensive needs. In this position, you'll serve either elementary or high school-aged students with significant behavioral and safety challenges. A mandatory week-long orientation ensures youre fully trained and equipped for success, after which youll collaborate with teachers and staff in a highly structured setting.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a special education classroom (PreK12) with severe autism and challenging behaviors, clearly reflected on your resume Able to consistently work full-time, MondayFriday, 7:30 AM3:00 PM (or 8:00 AM3:30 PM), including attending a full mandatory orientation week Live within 35 minutes of the work site Meet one of the following PA paraprofessional requirements, or willing to complete a seven-module paraprofessional certification within the first 60 days: 48+ college credits (transcript required) Associate degree or higher CDA or PA Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators Comfortable providing hands-on assistanceincluding toileting, diapering, feeding, and transfersas needed for students with significant needs Proactive, patient, and collaborative, with a strong commitment to student safety
