This position focuses on providing essential assistance to K-12 students with moderate to high-intensity needs, including autism and significant behavioral challenges. Adaptability is essential, as work locations and assignments may shift based on district needs.

Key Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of direct paraprofessional experience in a special education classroom, specifically supporting children with severe autism and behavioral needs (must be clearly reflected on your resume) Reside within a 35-minute commute of the assignment area Able to commit to a full-time schedule (MondayFriday, 37.5 hours/week), with flexibility for start times between 6:45 AM and 4:01 PM Comfortable with hands-on responsibilities, including toileting, diapering, feeding, transfers, and managing behavioral interventions Experience with ADL support, MDS, AS3, and implementing safety interventions Willingness to attend and successfully complete a mandatory orientation week Meets at least one Pennsylvania paraprofessional state credentialing requirement or willing to obtain certification within 60 days
