Assistant Teacher Location:
Family Worship Center Preschool & Daycare Overview:
We are looking for a flexible, dependable, and nurturing Floater/Assistant Teacher to support classrooms across all age groups at Family Worship Center Preschool & Daycare. This role is essential to the smooth daily operation of our center, providing support wherever needed — including assisting lead teachers, supervising children, and helping maintain a safe and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers in implementing daily routines and classroom activities. Step into classrooms as needed to support staff breaks, absences, or high ratios. Engage with children in a warm, responsive, and developmentally appropriate manner. Support the emotional, social, and cognitive development of children across age groups. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents to build positive relationships. Follow all health, safety, and childcare regulations, including diapering, feeding, and sanitation procedures. Assist with classroom prep, activity setup, and transitions between activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Prior experience in a childcare or early learning environment preferred. Comfortable working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Basic understanding of early childhood development and classroom management. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom needs and schedules. A passion for working with children in a faith-based, family-oriented environment.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$14.00 - $16.50 per hour
