Key Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within an educational setting Knowledge of positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) strategies Comfortable utilizing visual supports such as token boards and first/then charts Patience, compassion, and a strong commitment to student growth Ability to consistently implement routines and proactive interventions Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both students and school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

Work 1:1 with a 2nd-grade student, providing supplemental emotional and behavioral support throughout the school day Implement and manage a token board system as a positive reinforcement tool Use first/then visual supports to guide the students activities and help with transitions Prepare for daily transitions by using timers and giving advance warnings Prompt the student to initiate tasks, remain focused, and complete assignments Regularly review and reinforce appropriate behavior expectations for various school settings (classroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground, bus, etc.) Foster a supportive and structured learning environment that empowers the student to achieve success Step into a meaningful role where your skills and compassion truly matter.
