Desired qualifications and experience:

Experience in a paraprofessional or direct student support role in schools An understanding of emotional and behavioral support approaches Familiarity in using visual supports, such as token boards and first/then charts, to encourage positive behavior Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills Confidence prompting students to initiate, sustain, and complete classroom activities Ability to prepare students for transitions with the use of timers and verbal cues Key responsibilities include: Providing 1:1 support to a second grader, using emotional and behavioral tools throughout the day Utilizing token boards and first/then visuals consistently to reinforce routines Preparing for and guiding transitions with timers and advance warnings Prompting your student to start, remain engaged with, and complete learning tasks Reviewing and reinforcing behavioral expectations in a variety of school settings (hallways, cafeteria, playground, classroom, bus, and more) Collaborating with classroom teachers and school staff to ensure continuity and support If youre eager to empower students and ready to be a reliable source of encouragement in a contract position, we invite you to take the next step in your careerapply today!
