This contract position offers opportunities across multiple school districts and classrooms, with immediate openings focused on Multiple Disabilities Support (MDS) environmentsboth functional and behavioral. Assignments are determined based on district needs, with candidate preferences considered when possible. Key Qualifications & Requirements At least 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or in a special education setting. Must meet one of Pennsylvanias paraprofessional qualification criteria: 48+ college credits Associate degree or higher Current completion or willingness to attain the PA state-approved certification within 60 days of hire Reliable transportation and the ability to consistently arrive on timeliving within 30-35 minutes of the assignment location is ideal. Flexibility and comfort with personal care tasks, classroom support, and managing challenging student behaviors. Availability to work up to 32.5-35 hours per week for school-age, or 29 hours for preschool assignments, during standard school hours. Provide two recent supervisor references specific to paraprofessional roles. Role Responsibilities Deliver in-classroom support for students with varying needs, including those with multiple disabilities. Assist teachers in behavioral and academic interventions. Provide personal care (such as lifting, toileting, and feeding) as needed. Foster a supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
