9680903-18512 Job Description Make an impact supporting secondary students as an experienced Paraprofessional or Behavioral Health Assistant in a contract position near Scranton, PA! Work closely within a secondary center, serving 7th to 9th graders, providing both emotional and shared support. Your background in behavioral health or as a behavior specialist will allow you to play a vital role in helping students succeed academically and emotionally in a dynamic school environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

Previous experience as a Paraprofessional, Behavioral Health Assistant, or Behavior Specialist, ideally within an educational setting At least one year working with middle or high school-aged students preferred Experience supporting students with emotional or behavioral needs strongly desired Skilled in de-escalation techniques and positive behavior interventions Ability to build rapport and foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment Team player with effective communication skills Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving needs of students and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide behavioral, emotional, and academic support to students in 7th9th grade Collaborate with educators, therapists, and school staff to implement individualized support plans Assist students in navigating daily classroom tasks and social interactions Utilize established behavior management strategies to foster positive outcomes Participate in team meetings and training to enhance student services Promote a welcoming, safe learningspace for all students
