Job Description
We are currently looking for dedicated Assistant Teachers who are fun loving and caring individuals, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young children. Our teachers are highly responsible and highly reliable! We are looking for a positive role model for our young students! This is a year- round position. We are here to provide our students with an exemplary early education! We are specifically looking for individuals with prior experience working with Preschool Aged children Being part of The Stepping Stones Team include: The opportunity to make a difference in a child's life A working environment in which team members respect one another Clear expectations, necessary resources, and support to meet children's needs Training and opportunities for continual learning and development for staff Opportunity to advance Friendly work environment A teacher assistant is responsible for general classroom management and supervision, which includes the personal care, hygiene, and positive discipline of the children. The Teacher implements the lesson plans which includes activities for children that stress physical, social, and emotional growth and provides materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in active play. The Teacher prepares materials and classrooms for class activities and conducts all activities in a safe, organized, and productive manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Supervises and manages daily functions for a class of children A desire to make every moment a teachable one A commitment to nurturing, inspiring, and delighting the children in your care A passion for creating lifelong learners Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis Provides an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children Attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children Maintains a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times Performs other duties as assigned Ability to work early morning or closing shiftQUALIFICATIONS
Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position 1+ years of child care experience, specifically with children under the age of 5. Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality Highly professional and dependable Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment Able to interact with students of all ages and skill levels Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situationsJob Type:
