Job Duties & :
As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth.
From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them.
You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun. Support the Lead Teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom. Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom that meets licensing and ratio requirements Engage directly with children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor time. Observe children and share developmental notes with the Lead Teacher .Build relationships with families through warm, consistent daily communication. Assist with classroom documentation including attendance and daily reports
Requirements:
- At least 18 years old, hold a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Must able to pass a background check.
- Driver's license or Federal / State picture ID required.
- Education in Early Childhood Education and experience within a licensed center is a big plus!
- Have genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances.
- Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.
- A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education and prior experience in a licensed childcare center are a plus, but not a requirement.
