Job Description

We are recruiting for Special Education Paraeducators to serve the Mabton JR/SR High in the Mabton School District. These positions are 32.5 hours per week, school year schedule. General Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Special Education Teacher, the Special Education Paraeducator is responsible for supporting and assisting students with disabilities in various school settings. The Special Education Paraeducator, consistent with the individual education plan (IEP) or individual family service plan (IFSP) assists the Special Education Teacher with lesson plan preparation; one-on-one and small group instruction; classroom management; student observation and assessment; and communication with parents and staff. The full salary range for this position is $21.82 - $26.99 per hour. Offers are made at the beginning of the range.
Regular attendance required:
This role relies on regular and reliable attendance to ensure consistency for our students and help support a positive, productive learning environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Must meet one of the following educational requirements: Associate's Degree OR 48 sem./72 quarter credits from an accredited college or university; OR Passing score of 455 on the ParaPro Assessment; OR Passing score of 220 on the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment; OR 65% on The Master Teacher, Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program.
