Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Mabton for the 2026-2027 school year. You will work full-time hours (.5 in Mabton and the other .5 in a rural area about 1 hr from Mabton) to help students overcome physical and sensory challenges. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), you will deliver vital therapy that directly impacts student success in the classroom. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct therapy sessions to students based on established IEP goals. Provide 37.5 hours of consistent weekly support across assigned school buildings. Modify classroom activities and environments to boost student participation. Track and document student progress daily for compliance reporting. Partner closely with OTs, special education teachers, and parents. Qualifications Valid Washington state COTA license. ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certificate or eligibility to obtain it. Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Successful completion of the NBCOT exam. Reliability to fulfill a consistent, full-time weekly schedule.
