The Instructional Aide is responsible for supporting the principal and teaching staff by performing a variety of duties that enhance the educational experience and overall operation of the classroom and/or campus. Proctor assessments for students with Learning Services in need of testing accommodations. Assist with coordination of test proctoring. Assist teaching staff in the instructional needs of students, working both in the classroom with the teachers and students as needed to ensure their maximum academic development. Support other staff with clerical duties, including faxing, copying, and internal deliveries, as needed. Provide general campus support as directed by the principal, including cafeteria supervision, among other duties. Safeguard confidential records and inquire in a professional manner. Collaborate with colleagues to promote positive teamwork. Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of services, and suggest changes in working conditions to increase efficiency. Supervise students during transitions between classes and special events as needed. Ensuring the health and safety of students, equipment and facilities by implementing appropriate precautions Represent Xavier Catholic Schools professionally in interactions with stakeholders, including parents, community members, staff and students.
