In this paid role, you will lead activities, assist with supervision, encourage positive behavior, and foster creativity while making a meaningful impact on young learners. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and begins in August 2026. Responsibilities Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive behavior at all times. Lead engaging activities such as arts and crafts, sports, outdoor play, tutoring, and group activities that support development and teamwork. Use effective program management strategies to maintain a positive, safe, and enjoyable learning environment. Assist with planning and preparing activities that align with youth development goals and educational standards. Follow first aid procedures and respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies, including using CPR or an AED when needed. Work with team members to foster a supportive environment that encourages growth, respect, and community involvement. Qualifications Preferred experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Current first aid, CPR, and AED certification required, with willingness to renew as needed. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to address behavioral challenges effectively. Comfortable working outdoors during program activities. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage children positively and professionally.
