Part Time Elementary Special Education Aide

Cedar Grove-Belgium Elementary School has an opening for a part-time Special Education Instructional Aide. Students in our elementary school special education program range in age from Kindergarten through 4th grade and have a variety of disabilities. Instructional aides provide support for students in the classroom, help students with self-care skills, assist the special education teachers in the day-to-day management of the student caseloads and identified needs, follow through with student behavior management plans, keep record of students' progress, and provide student supervision in various settings throughout the day. Experience in establishing relationships with children, motivating learners, and teaching positive behavior acquisition skills is desired. Flexibility, patience, and strong student management skills are essential for success in this position. This is a 28 hour per week position, working Monday through Friday while students are in session. Starting pay for the position is $15/hour.
