We are social, supportive, inclusive and our goal is to is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for those with Autism and all special abilities to reach their full potential as they journey from childhood through adolescence and into adulthood. Our purpose is to provide individualized client programs and therapeutic interventions, strengthen family ties through education and raise public awareness of Autism and other special abilities..

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead instructor in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities for adolescents through adulthood.
• Provide support and assistance to individuals as young as 10 years old through adulthood with special needs, including those with autism.
• Help manage behavior and promote positive social interactions among individuals.
• Collaborate with the lead instructor to develop and modify curriculum based on individual client needs.
• Assist with classroom management, including maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
• Support individuals during learning and entertainment activities, and outdoor play activities.
• Provide small group instruction as directed by the lead instructor.

Skills:

• Experience working with individuals with varying abilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children with varying needs.
