Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development and individual student needs Support classroom management by promoting positive behavior and facilitating a safe, respectful learning environment Provide physical assistance and support for students with disabilities, including mobility and daily activities Collaborate with other professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and special educators to support student goals and IEP (Individualized Education Program) objectives Use American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods to enhance interaction with students with communication challenges Support literacy, math, and curriculum activities aligned with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards Assist in lesson planning, classroom organization, and maintaining confidentiality of student information Skills Experience working with children in preschool, toddler care, or early childhood education environments Knowledge of special education practices, including behavior management for students with behavioral disorders or autism spectrum disorders Familiarity with Deaf education and experience supporting students with disabilities or developmental disabilities Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families Ability to implement classroom support strategies for students with diverse needs using patience and empathy Basic math skills and literacy education techniques suitable for early learners Experience working within private school settings or Montessori classrooms is a plus Understanding of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques This role is ideal for passionate individuals eager to grow their career in education while making a positive impact on children's lives.
