We are seeking a motivated, hard-working individual to fill a part-time (30 hours per week) to full-time (40 hours per week) educational administrative position. Job Summary for Assistant Director The Assistant Director is often the "face" of the center and serves as the first direct contact with students, families, and teachers. As a result, the ideal candidate can easily form strong customer relationships. Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for managing both the administrative activities and the educational activities of the center. Principal responsibilities include; operations, revenue, marketing goals, data entry, billing, scheduling and make-ups. Assistant Director requirements and qualifications:
Must have a 4-year degree to qualify (Business, Education, or Marketing is preferred) 2-5 years of management, customer service, sales, or education experience preferred Enthusiastic, outgoing, and team-oriented personality Must demonstrate care and compassion towards children Motivation to take the initiative to ensure that a student's time at Huntington is memorable A confident and flexible demeanor Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of self-motivation Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation Assistant Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Managing front-end administrative office, including inbound calls and walk-ins Conducting initial student intake forms and delivering/scoring academic evaluations (AEs) Leveraging AE results and Huntington software to create customized learning programs. Communicating AE results to parents and positioning program features and benefits Monitoring student programs to ensure academic achievement Instructing students and conducting interim conferences with parents regarding progress Hiring, training, scheduling, motivating, and supervising part-time teachers Conduct monthly teacher meetings to share business and Center updates Coordinating ongoing trainings, as needed, to ensure staff are up to speed on changes Monitoring daily center activities and appearance Maintenance of student folders and instructional binders Participating in local marketing efforts to help grow the business. See more details below… Marketing and Sales - As a tutoring company, it is critical we maintain great relationships with area schools, teachers, and school administrators to increase awareness of our services. In partnership with the Center Director, the Assistant Director (you) will be responsible for some basic marketing efforts outside of the office. This includes developing proactive relationships with school personnel, increasing Huntington's presence in the community, and increasing inquiry volume. Examples include, but are not limited to, coordinating professional meetings with school contacts, coordinating school visits related to current students, meetings with PTO/PTA groups and parent workshops, attendance at on-campus school events, visits to area merchants, local community groups, and libraries.
