Job Description
Job Overview Kumon of Scottsdale Mountainside Math and Reading after-school learning center is looking for part-time assistants (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 2 pm-6;30 pm) to support daily operations. The job is available for 2 to 4 days/week with approximately 10 to 20 work hours. Applicants must have a strong understanding of math and reading at the high school level and good communication skills in English to assist students. Prior teaching experience or working with kids is preferred but not Mandatory. Responsibilities Deliver engaging tutoring sessions in mathematics and English language subjects tailored to each student's learning style and needs Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning to ensure effective instructional delivery Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education requirements Manage classroom effectively, ensuring a positive atmosphere conducive to learning Communicate regularly with students and team members to track progress and address individual challenges Experience Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly preferred Demonstrated ability in tutoring or teaching math and English language arts.
