Test Prep Gurus:
Primary Service:
We work 1-on-1 with students to improve their ACT, SAT, and ISEE scores, and academic grades. Our Mission:
To use the process of test prep and academic instruction to impart skills that will help students to effectively reach their future goals for years to come.Who We Are:
No program is standardized. We customize each program to more effectively help students achieve their goals. We know that good grades or intelligence don't always correlate with high starting scores on these exams. That's okay. A starting score is just a jumping off point. Everything we do is structured to achieve a result: the homework, practice tests, schedule, instructor pairing, partner communication, and so on, down to the very last little detail. We utilize a "takes a village approach" to ensure student-success. Every part of the team matters, the directors, the instructors, the parents, and the counselor. Bootcamps aren't healthy. And they don't work very well. We take the time to learn about each family and student. Who We areNot:
If the cram school model sounds appealing, you won't find it here. We don't teach to a test. We go much deeper than that. Over time it becomes mentoring, coaching, and pushing students to grow beyond their perceived boundaries and flourish. We are not tutors. We are instructors. Schedules are flexible and fluid so that we can meet students and clients on their time. We aren't instructional mercenaries. This is a passion.Who Should Apply:
Both generalists (who can teach both math and verbal) and specialists (who teach only math) are encouraged to apply. You are the ideal candidate if you are a personable, experienced, high-quality instructor who is interested in helping young people achieve their goals for college by improving their standardized test scores. We are committed to developing and supporting the best instructors in the profession. For more information about us, please visit our website, www.TestPrepGurus.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
