Job Description

Tutor Job Summary Greenleaf Consulting Group LLC is seeking a dedicated, patient, and motivated Tutor to join our growing team serving children and youth throughout Allen County. This is a field-based position providing individualized academic support to children and youth involved with the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS). Tutoring services are provided in clients' homes, schools, libraries, community settings, and the office as appropriate. As a Tutor, you will work one-on-one with students to strengthen academic skills, improve school performance, develop effective study habits, and build confidence. Tutors collaborate with caregivers, schools, DCS Family Case Managers, and other members of the service team to support each student's individualized educational goals. Duties
  • Provide individualized tutoring services to children and youth throughout Allen County.
  • Assist students with homework, school assignments, studying, and academic organization.
  • Provide educational support in reading, writing, math, and other identified academic areas.
  • Identify students' academic strengths and areas requiring additional support.
  • Develop and implement tutoring activities based on each student's individual needs and goals.
  • Help students develop effective study habits, organizational skills, and learning strategies.
  • Encourage academic confidence, motivation, and positive attitudes toward learning.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust tutoring strategies as needed.
  • Communicate with caregivers, DCS Family Case Managers, schools, and other members of the service team as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation in accordance with agency policies and DCS service standards.
  • Participate in supervision, staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree OR at least 60 hours of post-secondary credit hours in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and youth in an educational, tutoring, mentoring, social service, or related setting preferred.
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate academic instruction and support.
  • Knowledge of child development and different learning styles.
  • Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate children and youth with varying academic needs.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with families and service team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems. Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Reliable personal vehicle and current automobile insurance.
  • Ability to travel throughout Allen County and surrounding counties.
  • Availability to provide services during after-school hours and weekends.

$22.00-$26.00 per hour
