Academic Intervention Tutor Part-Time Contract Position | Minnetonka, MN Ready Psych Go is a growing psychology practice serving children, teens, adults, and families in the western Twin Cities. As we continue to expand, we are building out our academic intervention services and are looking for a thoughtful, engaging Academic Intervention Tutor to grow with us. This role is designed for someone who enjoys helping students strengthen foundational academic skills while building confidence, independence, and more effective learning strategies. Our academic intervention services may support students with learning differences, ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning challenges, or other academic concerns. This is more targeted than traditional tutoring. The goal is not simply to help a student complete homework, but to identify areas of difficulty and provide structured, individualized support to help skills improve over time. Because this is a new and growing service line, the position will begin with a small caseload and flexible hours. As referrals and demand grow, there will be meaningful opportunity to take on additional students, expand your hours, and help shape the academic intervention program at Ready Psych Go. What You'll Do Provide one-on-one academic intervention and tutoring to children and teens Support students in areas such as reading, writing, math, study skills, and academic organization Use structured, individualized strategies based on each student's needs Help students strengthen underlying academic skills rather than focusing only on homework completion Build confidence, independence, and effective learning habits Track student progress and adjust strategies as needed Communicate with parents or caregivers when appropriate Collaborate with the Ready Psych Go clinical team when helpful Help us continue developing and refining our growing academic intervention services Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is warm, patient, dependable, organized, and skilled at making learning feel approachable and encouraging. Ideal candidates may have a background in: Education Special education Reading or literacy intervention Mathematics instruction or intervention Psychology School psychology Learning disabilities Academic tutoring or coaching Structured literacy Orton-Gillingham or related reading intervention approaches Experience working with students with ADHD, dyslexia, learning disabilities, autism, or executive functioning challenges is especially valuable. A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, special education, or a related field is preferred. Current or former teachers, interventionists, reading specialists, graduate students, and experienced tutors are encouraged to apply. Schedule This is a flexible, part-time contract position. Approximately 2-5 hours per week to start, based on client demand, with meaningful opportunity for the caseload and hours to grow as the program expands. Afternoon and evening availability is especially helpful because many sessions will take place after school. Compensation ~$55 per hour, depending on experience, training, and area of specialization. Contract position. Candidates with specialized training in structured literacy, dyslexia intervention, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Barton, or other evidence-based academic intervention approaches may qualify toward the higher end of the range.
