Job Duties:
Follow the prescribed EBLI program with fidelity Work one-on-one with students to teach reading, writing and spelling skills, thus building confidence. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to both students and parents/guardians regarding academic performance. Create a nurturing learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence. Answer questions and reinforce concepts. Arrive on time and prepared for each session.
Job Purpose:
Build trusting, respectful and encouraging relationships with your students that creates a safe and engaging learning environment for students. Provide highly effective and engaging instruction to struggling readers.
Skills/Qualifications:
Complete EBLI online training program Teaching credentials are NOT required Experience working with children, tutoring, teaching, or mentoring is a plus Reliable transportation A valid Driver's License is required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable Patient Enthusiastic Goal-oriented Flexible Must have a sincere desire to help others Fluent in English reading, writing and spelling A coachable attitude and upbeat personality is far more important to us than having any previous experience.
