High School Athletics Position Summary:
The Game Duty worker supports Confluence Academies' high school athletic program by ensuring safe, organized, and efficient game-day operations. This position assists with event logistics before, during, and after athletic contests held at on-site or off-site facilities. Game Duty workers help maintain a positive environment for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators while modeling professionalism and sports-like behavior. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Game Duty workers may be assigned one or more of the following responsibilities: Gate Fee Collection- Collect admission fees and manage entry flow into the event. Door Monitoring
- Monitor designated entry points to ensure appropriate access. Concession Stand Oversight
- Supervise student workers/volunteers, ensure timely service, restock items as needed. Game Clock Operation
- Operate the running clock at the discretion of referees or game officials. Scorekeeping
- Maintain the official scorebook accurately. Public Address Announcing
- Provide clear, professional announcements during varsity contests. Referee Escort
- Provide locker room access, escort officials at halftime and post-game, and collect required forms. Custodial Notification
- Report hazards, safety concerns, or sanitation issues in event areas. Crowd Control Support
- Alert the administrator on duty to inappropriate spectator or athletic behavior. Football Chain Crew
- Fulfill chain and yardage responsibilities for football contests. Statistician Duties
- Record and maintain game statistics as assigned. Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the building athletic director.
