Activity Manager Position Overview:
Courthouse Club Fitness is seeking a reliable and knowledgeable Basketball Official to officiate games for our adult basketball league. This role is essential to running a safe, fair, and well-organized league, and plays a direct part in the experience our members and guests have on game day.
Key Responsibilities:
Officiate adult league basketball games in accordance with official league rules, making timely, consistent calls on fouls, violations, and other game situations. Coordinate with the on-site Activity Staff member, who manages athlete check-in, verifies rosters, and operates the scoreboard. Maintain control of the game and promote good sportsmanship, safety, and fair play for all participants. Communicate professionally with players, coaches, and Courthouse staff before, during, and after each game.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Strong working knowledge of basketball rules and officiating mechanics. Ability to make quick, confident decisions under pressure. Reliable availability and transportation on scheduled Sunday game days. Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Preferred Skills:
Prior experience officiating basketball at the recreational, high school, or club level. Basketball officiating certification or formal training. Experience working in a fast-paced, member-facing environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
$40 per game. A 3-month Courthouse Club Fitness membership. Employee perks (to be reviewed during orientation upon being hired; please refer to your job offer for additional details).
Information:
League rules are available HERE . Rules will also be printed at the score table and emailed to all participants. CPR/AED Certification required within 60 days of employment (onsite classes offered) An Activity Staff member will be present at each location to manage athlete check-in, verify rosters, and operate the scoreboard.
