Job Description
BAKING INSTRUCTOR
in Amesbury, MA. This position wil provide vocational instruction in baking and support to individuals with disabilities.Description:
- Plan and implement baking-related vocational instruction to Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities under the supervision of the Culinary Arts Manager
- Monitor equipment for safety and functionality and assist when arranging necessary repairs and inspections
- Assist with baking-related menu planning
- Assist with ordering necessary baking supplies
- Ensure that all safety and health regulations are met at all times and maintain required training certifications
- Submit all requested documentation and assist in establishing baking-related vocational/ISP goals for Individuals
- Assist in career development for Individuals participating in the baking program
- Participate in trainings and staff meetings as scheduled
- Provide instruction and guidance related to healthy nutrition and wellness
- Assist with catering all agency and other functions
- May be required to drive Individuals between work sites
- Must be team oriented, flexible, and coachable
- Requires valid Serve Safe Certificate/ability to obtain ServSafe upon hire.
- CPR/First Aid certification required; training can be provided upon hire
- A Certificate or degree related to Baking Training/education preferred
