Competitive pay based on EEC credentials (Teacher or Lead Teacher qualified) Position Overview A preschool program in Cambridge, MA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Education Teacher to join its team for a 3-month contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, play-based learning environment while gaining valuable experience with a respected early childhood program. The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and committed to creating engaging learning experiences that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning through play. Foster children's language, literacy, social-emotional, and cognitive development. Supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators. Observe and document children's developmental progress. Support daily classroom routines, including meals, outdoor play, rest time, and transitions. Collaborate with teaching staff and administration to ensure a high-quality educational experience. Maintain classroom organization and adhere to all Massachusetts EEC regulations and program policies. Qualifications Massachusetts EEC Teacher or Lead Teacher certification required. Previous experience working in a preschool or early childhood education setting preferred. Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Ability to create positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on Massachusetts EEC credentials.
