$80,000-$84,000 | 9-month recurring appointment | Raleigh, NC About the Program The Department of Teacher Education and Learning Sciences (TELS) invites an accomplished, forwardthinking scholar to help shape the future of elementary teacher preparation. This tenure-track faculty member will join a collaborative academic community committed to high-impact research, exceptional teaching, meaningful mentorship, and sustained engagement with schools and communities across North Carolina Position Details The successful candidate will maintain an active program of research, publication, grant writing, and external funding focused on pre-service elementary teacher preparation programs and their impact. They will teach undergraduate and graduate elementary education courses, including the Master of Arts in Teaching program, with a strong preference for expertise in elementary social studies education. The successful candidate will also recruit, advise, and mentor graduate students and serve on doctoral committees. North Carolina Required Qualifications Education:
A doctorate in Teacher Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Elementary Education, or a related field.
Teaching experience:
Undergraduate and/or graduate teaching in elementary education, experience preparing preservice teachers, and K-6 classroom experience.
Scholarly promise:
A scholarship and funding record commensurate with experience and demonstrated potential for excellence in research, teaching, extension, and service.
Student support:
