STEM INTERVENTIONIST

3.25 HOURS/DAY

2026-27 School Year — Idlehurst Elementary School

SOMERSWORTH SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Somersworth School District seeks a dedicated, collaborative individual interested in joining a goal-oriented district focused on strengthening Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) instruction and student engagement at Idlehurst Elementary School.

The STEM Interventionist will provide in-classroom, whole-group STEM activities in grades K-2. The STEM Interventionist will facilitate whole-class STEM instruction, assist with technology and digital learning tools, support classroom management, and ensure hands-on learning opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Serve as the school's STEM Interventionist in all areas of support which include:

• Facilitating whole-class STEM instruction.
  
• Assisting students with technology and digital learning tools used during STEM lessons.
  
• Classroom management during STEM instructional time.
  
• Monitoring and supporting student engagement throughout STEM lessons.
  
• Planning and preparing STEM activities.
  
• Maintaining logs/records of student's STEM activities.
  
• Participating in professional development as needed.

Please note that this position does not require teacher certification. Schedule is 12:15 PM - 3:30 PM daily (3.25 hours/day), which includes time for activity planning and preparation. Rate of pay is $20.70/hour. Experience working with elementary-age students and interest or background in STEM instruction preferred, but not required.
