We are seeking a dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to serve a local school in a full-time contract role for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role allows you to engage students in the wonders of science and support their academic growth within a collaborative school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active teaching license in the State of South Carolinano exceptions Middle Level Science or Science certification as required by South Carolina regulations Experience teaching science at the middle school level is strongly preferred Solid classroom management skills coupled with a student-centered approach Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt to diverse learners Effective communicator, organized, and collaborative by nature
Responsibilities:
Deliver dynamic, standards-based science instruction to middle school students Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and hands-on experiments Assess student understanding and adjust instructional strategies as needed Foster a motivating, inclusive classroom climate that encourages inquiry and curiosity Maintain accurate records and evaluate student progress Attend school meetings, trainings, and collaborate with fellow educators Provide support and guidance for students with varying learning needs This position offers the security of a full-time schedule (Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7:15am 2:45pm) and the chance to make a positive impact on young learners academic journeys over the full school year.
